After having suffered a serious explosion damage, CMA DJAKARTA was towed to Viktor Lenac shipyard to undergo a complete restoration and renewal. The ship was totally flooded in the N°5 and N°4 cargo holds.

Cleaning of damaged vessel:

• Unloaded 312 damaged containers
• Scrapped 267 containers
• Cleaned and reloaded 45 containers
• Pumped out and disposed 2.800 tons of oily water
• Disposed 2.900 tons of debris in burning mill

Steel renewal:

• Complete section of N°5 cargo hold - 1,120 tons
• DB section of N°4 cargo hold - 60 tons
• Bottom - 230 tons
• Hull - 195 tons

Electrical and piping renewal:

• Renewed 75 km of electrical cables and 480 m of pipes

Anti-corrosion treatment:

• Ballast tank coating, 50.000 sqm
• Gritblasting, 32.000 sqm
• Painting complete superstructure and ER, 38.000 sqm
